Introduction

This Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for all members and participants of the Nanaimo Pickleball Club. It is intended to promote respectful, safe, and enjoyable play for everyone involved in our club activities.

By participating in club events, all members agree to follow these guidelines.

Respect for Others

By participating in club events, all members agree to follow these guidelines.

Fair Play and Sportsmanship

Players are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship and follow the rules of pickleball.

Honesty in line calls, respect for opponents, and maintaining a positive attitude are essential parts of club play.

Safety

Safety is a priority in all club activities. Players are responsible for ensuring their own actions do not put themselves or others at risk.

Approved eye protection is mandatory for all Nanaimo Pickleball Club events and organized play sessions.

Behaviour During Play

Players are expected to participate in a manner that supports a positive playing environment. This includes:

Respecting court rotation and play schedules
Avoiding excessive disputes or interruptions
Supporting inclusive play so all members can participate

Club Rules and Facility Guidelines

Members must follow all facility rules at locations where club activities take place. This includes respecting facility staff instructions, booking procedures, and any posted regulations.

Consequences of Misconduct

Failure to follow the Code of Conduct may result in warnings, suspension of play privileges, or removal from club activities at the discretion of the Club Executive.

The Club Executive reserves the right to address conduct issues in the best interest of the membership and the safety of participants.

By participating in Nanaimo Pickleball Club activities, all members acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by this Code of Conduct.
