About Us

Our Story

The Nanaimo Pickleball Club was founded in 2010 by a small group of local players who came together to promote and grow the sport of pickleball in our community. What began as a handful of enthusiasts sharing court time has grown into one of Vancouver Island’s most active pickleball clubs.

Today, the Club is a registered society with hundreds of members and continues to welcome new players each year. Our mission is to promote the game of pickleball, provide organized play opportunities, and foster a friendly, inclusive environment where players of all skill levels can enjoy the sport.

Our Executive Team is made up of dedicated volunteers who help guide the club, support our members, and promote the growth of pickleball in Nanaimo.

Where We Play

The Nanaimo Pickleball Club offers play opportunities at several locations throughout Nanaimo. Many of our indoor sessions take place at the Nanaimo Regional Community Centre at Oliver Woods, while additional sessions may be offered at local schools and community facilities based on availability. Members also enjoy playing at several outdoor courts throughout the community, including Beban Park.
