There is important information regarding the coronavirus from Pickleball Canada on their website at

Your Club Executives are keeping a close eye on this situation. At the moment, we are still at low risk on the island for contracting COVID-19 but the situation could change rapidly and we will communicate any news to you as soon as we learn of it.

We can all do our part by practicing good hygiene, ie wash hands frequently for at least 20 seconds and not touching your face, and even if you have minor symptoms, like a slight persistent cough, or a minor sore throat, or a sniffy nose please “stay home”!  If you are returning from the U.S. or other countries, please self-isolate for 2 weeks before entering into club’s play. This falls in line with the province’s guidelines for returning travellers. B.C.’s chief medical officer is also calling for social distancing as new cases are diagnosed.

It is up to you whether or not to play, and some of you may wish to stay home throughout this ordeal.  If you are not comfortable playing at this time and are prepaid for one or more sessions, we will issue you a refund for the remainder play days in March. Please email the club if you would like a refund and state the day(s) you are prepaid for.  We will continue to monitor the situation closely over the next few days and/or weeks.  If it becomes necessary, we will cancel pickleball, but until then we should be able to carry on with regular play.
